Successful Press Conference Asking Governor Cuomo for Health Impact Study

We did it! A highly successful Press Conference asking Governor Cuomo to conduct a comprehensive health impact assessment of natural gas infrastructure projects and to direct the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation to suspend issuance of permits to pipeline infrastructure projects pending the completion of these assessments. Citizens, health professionals and politicians (bi-partisan) spoke. Speakers included Rensselaer County Executive Kathleen Jimino, Albany County Executive Daniel McCoy, Chairman of the Schoharie county board of Supervisors Earl Van Wormer, Dr. David O. Carpenter, M.D., Dr. Sheila Bushkin-Bedient, M.D. MPH, Dr. Kathleen Nolan, M.D., Pramilla Malik, citizen activist (speaking in photo), Assemblyman Phil Steck and State Senator Neil Breslin.
There were about 300 people present. We made a great photo op on the million dollar staircase!
