Health and Safety First

December 9, 2015

10:30 – 11:30 AM

NYS Capitol – Million Dollar Staircase

Join with political leaders from Albany, Rensselaer, and Schoharie Counties and with medical experts to call on Governor Cuomo to direct the NYS Department of Health to oversee a comprehensive assessment of the health impacts (CHIA) associated with gas infrastructure and to direct the Department of Conservation to include such assessments in their review of gas infrastructure proposals.

If you oppose the pipeline/compressor station, please have your voice heard.

    • Arrive at 10 am to clear “airport-like” security.  Avoid wearing metal. Travel light.
    • Bring SNYFGP or homemade signs (without sticks or metal supports) or make a sign that reads: “Health and Safety First”.
    • Sign our petition to Governor Cuomo asking him for a Comprehensive Health Impact Study

We have seen before that large numbers do make a difference.  Please come and bring as many people as possible.

(Parking is available in the Visitors Lot in the Empire State Plaza and on the street on State and Washington Avenues. If parking in the Visitors Lot, take the elevators to the Concourse. Enter Capitol from State Street or the Concourse. Once in Capitol, go to the left hallway and take elevator to the third floor. There will be volunteers inside the Capitol to direct you once you clear security.)

A bus will be available to transport people from the Target in East Greenbush to the Capitol and to return riders to Target following the rally.  Riders will be asked for a $5 donation.  Pick up will be in the side parking lot of Target at 9:45 AM.  To reserve your spot on the bus, donate NOW or email by December 7th.  Space will be limited.
